Awarded Technology: OneShotBRDF™ Optical Inspection Technology

This technology is based on a proprietary principle that visualizes the directional distribution of reflected light (BRDF) through single-shot imaging.

Principle of OneShotBRDF
Principle of OneShotBRDF

Key Features

• Captures the directional distribution of reflected light in a single shot
• Visualizes minute defects and nanoscale surface structures
• Enables high-speed, non-contact, and quantitative inspection
• Supports dynamic control with a DMD (Digital Micro-mirror Device)

Technical Value

This technology enables the detection and evaluation of fine defects that were previously difficult to identify, offering a new approach in optical inspection and metrology.

Applications

• Visual inspection (precision components, electronic devices, etc.)
• Automated inspection systems
• 3D shape and surface evaluation

This technology has been recognized for its strong potential for industrial application based on academic achievements, leading to the receipt of the Encouragement Award.
