Report on the "Sensor & Imaging EXPO 2025" at OPIE '25
Toshiba Teli Corporation participated in the Sensor & Imaging EXPO 2025, held as part of OPIE '25 at PACIFICO Yokohama from April 23rd (Wed) to 25th (Fri).
At our booth, we showcased our latest innovations, including a surface flaw detection scope designed to inspect scratches on glossy flat surfaces, and a device for lens appearance inspection.

Surface Flaw Detection Scope - SFD240305A
We showcased an advanced optical solution capable of detecting surface scratched in a single shot.
The surface flaw detection scope "SFD240305A" utilizes Toshiba's patented technology "OneShotBRDF TM", enabling real-time visualization of scratches on glossy surfaces in color—without the need for post-processing on a PC.
This innovative scope captures images using a specialized optical system developed by Toshiba Research & Development Center. The system incorporates a unique filter that makes it possible to highlight surface flaws clearly and efficiently.
The Surface flaw detection scope was previously exhibited at VISION 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany, where it won the "VISION Award 2024".

Lens appearance inspection device (Under development)
The lens appearance inspection device is equipped with Teli's surface flaw detection scope, developed by Tokai Optical Co., Ltd.
The demonstration showed the inspection of minutes scratched on normal and spherical lens surfaces.
